The REX120D set: The tool for record-breakingly fast paint stripping of your window shutters!

Stripping paint from window shutters is a challenge, involving thick layers of paint and complex grooves. The REX120D was designed to transform this tedious task into a quick and easy renovation. It replaces the heat gun (which is risky for wood) and the random orbital sander (which is ineffective on uneven surfaces).

How do you remove paint from wooden shutters without chemical paint strippers?

This set offers a mechanical method for removing paint. The brushes allow you to restore your shutters to their original wooden condition without using toxic or flammable products or expensive compressed air equipment.

The REX120D renovation kit for painted wooden shutters is the most effective and fastest solution for stripping and sanding your wooden shutters. Forget heat guns (time-consuming and less effective) or chemicals (harmful and environmentally damaging): with this kit, you can remove paint and stain quickly and gently, even in grooves.

Complete versatility: From rough sanding to fine sanding

This set is the perfect combination for wood, whether soft (pine) or hard (oak). It allows you to remove paint or stain and prepare the surface for a new coat of paint.

Removing coarse coatings (thick layers of paint or heavily used surfaces):

For coarse coatings and thick layers of paint on smooth surfaces, use the 36 grit strip brush (110917).

Essential for reaching the underside of grooves and the edges of slats without damaging the wood, use the narrow 80 grit strip brush (110897).

Intermediate grinding:

The 80-grit strip brush (110869) is ideal for intermediate sanding after paint stripping. It removes residue and smooths the surface without damaging the wood.

Finishing touches and preparation before sealing:

The two-component brush (110863) is perfect for fine sanding or sanding raw wood. It creates a clean, even surface that is optimally prepared for applying stain, paint, or sealant of your choice.

We will answer your questions:

Do I need to completely sand down my shutters before repainting them?

Yes. Complete sanding is strongly recommended if the existing paint is peeling, cracked, or no longer adhering. Failure to remove old layers of paint will compromise the durability and appearance of the new coat.

Will this device damage the wood of my window shutters or leave grooves?

No. Unlike sanders that can damage wood, the REX120D uses a brush function. With a suitable brush (e.g., the narrow brush for raised areas) and the adjustable speed, you can remove only the paint and leave the wood surface undamaged.

Do I need to remove my shutters to use the REX120D?

For optimal results and greater convenience, we recommend removing the shutters and laying them flat on stands. This allows you to reach all edges, grooves, and raised areas more easily, and to work more safely and comfortably.

Can I use this device to remove wood stain from my window shutters?

Yes. Thanks to its fine-grained lamellar brushes, such as the two-component brush, the REX120D is ideal for removing flaking wood stain or for simple sanding (light sanding) before applying a new protective layer.
